Join Swaine Bloomers, assisted by Green Notes C.I.C., for a community project helping transform a street verge into a colourful and wildlife-friendly rockery at Haigh Lane, Hoylandswaine. Volunteers will help create an attractive planting space using rocks, flowers, and pollinator-friendly plants to improve the look of the village and encourage biodiversity.
As part of the session, there will also be an educational element where participants can learn about the natural process of laying and positioning rocks to create a sustainable, attractive, and functional rockery. Green Notes C.I.C. will share practical guidance on designing natural features that support wildlife habitats, drainage, and long-term planting success.
Come along to enjoy the outdoors, learn new skills, meet new people, and help create a welcoming green space the whole community can be proud of. Whether you’re an experienced gardener or trying something new, everyone is welcome — no experience needed
